What happens if my medical aid claim is rejected?

Medication costs

If your medical aid claim is rejected for your prescribed medication, our Partner Pharmacy will contact you to inform you. We will also reach out to you to confirm you are happy to switch to a 'cash' customer.

We will inform you of the price of your prescribed medication, and once you confirm you are happy to pay, charge your saved payment method for your prescribed medication cost. Our Partner Pharmacy will then process your order for delivery.

If you are on one of our subscription services, you will remain a cash customer for each month going forward, and will pay both our R150 service fee and your medication cost together. You can switch back to medical aid payment options at any time on your Contro profile.

If you are unsure why your medical aid claim was rejected, please contact your medical aid provider.
