How am I charged by Contro for my subscription plan?

This article is for our subscription services.

All subscription customers are charged their first month’s R150 service fee at checkout. This is non-refundable. After a successful consultation, cash customers will be charged again for the price of their prescribed medication.

For the preceding months of the subscription, cash customers will be charged our R150 service fee combined with the cost of their medication in a single transaction. Repeat cycles are set based on the medication and treatment regime you are prescribed. For example, if your daily medication is dispensed as 28 tablets, your payment cycle will repeat every 28 days. If your daily medication is dispensed as 30 tablets, your payment cycle will repeat every 30 days, and so on.

Some medications can be prescribed with shorter cycles. For example, certain contraceptive pills can be prescribed with a 21 or 24 day cycle so you can skip your placebo week. You can arrange a follow-up consultation with your assigned Partner Doctor if you'd like to know more about this.

For all subscription services, the first repeat cycle is shortened to create a delivery buffer for the preceding month

Your saved payment method will be charged immediately after your consultation for your prescribed medication cost unless you have opted to use your medical aid to cover your prescribed medication.
