What happens if my medical aid claim is rejected?

Medication costs

If your medical aid claim is rejected for your prescribed medication, we will reach out to inform you. We will then confirm if you are happy to switch to a 'cash' to make payment for your medication.

We will inform you of the price of your prescribed medication, and once you confirm you are happy to pay, charge your saved payment method for your prescribed medication cost. Our Partner Pharmacy will then process your order for delivery.

If you are on one of our subscription services, you will remain a cash customer for each month going forward, and will pay both our R220 service fee and your medication cost together. You can switch back to medical aid payment options at any time on your Contro profile. To do so, please ensure you select your payment type under your "My Orders" tab.

If you are unsure why your medical aid claim was rejected, please contact your medical aid provider directly.
