Is there any reason I could be denied PDE5 Inhibitors?

Sildenafil and Tadalafil are generally found to be safe and have the best safety record of all PDE5 inhibitors. However, contraindications do exist, specifically in individuals who are concurrently using organic nitrates, such as sublingual nitroglycerin, amyl nitrite (poppers), isosorbide mononitrate or dinitrate.

Additionally, precautions for the use of PDE5 Inhibitors should be taken if you have had the following cardiovascular conditions:

Myocardial infarction (heart attack)
Angina (typical ischaemic-type chest pain occurring with exertion)
Unstable angina (typical ischaemic-type chest pain occurring at rest)
Stroke
Life-threatening arrhythmia in the last 6 months
Resting hypotension (blood pressure [BP] <90/50 mmHg)
Hypertension (BP >170/100 mmHg)
Severe congestive heart failure
