Can you get thrush from sex?

Thrush is not a sexually transmitted infection (STI), but it can be triggered or brought on by sex.

Please note it is important that when undergoing thrush treatment to be aware that antifungal creams can damage condoms and diaphragms. This means your barrier method contraception might not work.
