# What causes skin aging?

Skin aging is influenced by both __intrinsic__ and __extrinsic__ factors. 

Intrinsic aging is a natural process that occurs over time and is largely determined by genetics. Extrinsic aging is primarily caused by sun exposure, pollution, smoking, poor nutrition, and lifestyle habits.
