# What can I do if my bacterial vaginosis symptoms are returning?

BV can recur even after successful treatment. 

Women who have had BV once are at higher risk of experiencing it again. 

In such cases, a healthcare provider may recommend prolonged or repeated courses of antibiotics, or other measures to help prevent recurrence.
