# I have both genital herpes and oral herpes (cold sores), which service should I sign up for?

Both genital and oral herpes are treated with the same antiviral medications as they are both caused by two types of the herpes virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. 

Therefore if you have symptoms of both, our Partner Doctors will prescribe you the same treatment regardless of whether you make an order for our Genital Herpes treatment service or our Cold Sore treatment service.
