# Can I switch from using my Medical Aid to paying cash?

If your Medical Aid has expired, ended or your funds have depleted, you can switch to being a 'cash' payer. 

To do this, simply update your medication payment method on you profile by electing 'cash'.

| If you are on one of our subscription services, this will come into effect from your next month's repeat. Your saved payment method will now be charged the R220 service fee *and* your medication cost each month.
